Well it has been a very long time between posts. I have been so busy with sorting Dad’s estate out, helping mum sort their home, and preparing and then going on our Family History Holiday. We left for the UK on 6 September and arrived home on 3 October. I have so much to do around the house to catch up. I also have so much I want to do with my genealogy and have loads of things I want to share with you about our trip.
We did so much whilst we were overseas and I will write some posts in the near future about them. I will also catch up on 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks as I have fallen well behind on these posts.
I also have to sort out my study as you can get the door open and not much else! Prior to going to the UK anything I didn’t have time to deal with was placed in a box and placed in their. It is horrendous! As I was sorting papers at mum and dad’s place I came across numerous pieces of genealogy gold but didn’t have time to work with it. I now have to sort it into meaningful places and scan them so that there is backup copies.
I’ve decided that this will be a very good time to get started on the Genealogy Do-Over I have mentioned previously. I discovered Trello recently and I am going to set some goals, tasks, and checklists within that to work my way through the Genealogy Do-Over.
Over the weekend I have been planning out what I need to get done in my life by using Trello to create lists and tasks in order to keep on top of everything that needs to be done. I have been running around in circles since I returned home as I just didn’t know where to start. Now that I am starting to see what needs to be done and what steps I need to get there it is feeling slightly less overwhelming.
Well I need to get stuck into doing some work and start my massive catch up on blogging and life in general.
