Week 48 - Next to Last

However, a break in the case came when I finally established Henney's maiden surname was Foster. I searched for her parents in the Census records and found them on the 1871 one. Living with them was a granddaughter, Harriet Walker who, after further searches, I found was baptised on 27 February 1870, her parents were Jonah and Henney.7,8 I would assume that Jonah was struggling to raise three children and Henney's parents took the baby. It would have been hard in those days, a single father, with an 8 year old, 3 year old, and a baby.
This makes Aaron second to last not the youngest I had always thought.
Who is next to last in your family? Did you find someone, as I did, who you thought was the youngest but they weren't? Leave a comment below.
